LUCOTEK provide a variety of ferrules to termination your fibers. These ferrules are available in a range of outer diameters, bore sizes, lengths and materials, that's making them usable for many different applications:
Outer diameters: 1.0mm, 1.6mm, 1.8mm, 2.0mm, 2.5mm, 3.17mm
Bore sizes: from 80um to 1300um.
Lengths: from 3.0mm to 21mm
Specification:
Ø 1.25 mm and Ø 2.5 mm stainless steel or ceramic inserts, used for manufacturing fiber optic
patch cord and components with tail fibers. The 1.25 mm LC type plug can be used for LC/PC
fiber optic components. The standard Ø 2.5mm plug size is suitable for FC/PC, SC/PC, and ST/PC
fiber optic components.
The flange which provides a secure way to connect and extend lengths, has two materials you can
choose: brass and Stainless steel, that's providing additional gaps when implanted with other
neurorecording devices, making them very useful in optogenetic applications.
